“This Advent we look to the Wise Men to teach us where to focus our attention. We set our sights on things above, where God is. We draw closer to Jesus… When our Advent journey ends, and we reach the place where Jesus resides in Bethlehem, may we, like the Wise Men, fall on our knees and adore him as our true and only King.”
Mark Zimmermann in Our Advent Journey
“Almighty God, give us grace to cast away the works of darkness and put on the armor of light, now in the time of this life, in which your Son Jesus Christ came to visit us in great humility; So that, at the last day, when he shall come again in his glorious majesty to judge the living and the dead, we may rise to the life immortal.”
The Book of Common Prayer, published in 1662
December Bible Reading Plan

This looks like a nice study…I’m not sure if I want to continue with my study of Romans, or take a pause for this. I have been copying out Romans every day, a paragraph at a time. I really enjoy this, and see how the whole book works together, rather than taking various bits & pieces. And I fond copying it makes me pay attention! It sticks better. But I like the idea of a Christmas study too.

I started writing verses/paragraphs down as well. I’ve definitely retained the study since starting that process. As for your study dilemma, that’s entirely up to you of course! I’m only familiar with Romans in bits and pieces so I wouldn’t have knowledge of the difference in studying the book as a whole. if you continue on with the book, you’ll have to let me know how reading it as a whole worked for you.
